This one-day training course enables participants to understand the needs of people with a learning disability to ensure personalised support and outcomes. It provides an introduction to personalised support and methods to identify and appraise it.

    • Quality of Life/Capable Environments/ person centred active support /multi-element behaviour support

    • Develop personalised support plans and a quality support system for implementation

Facilitating Capable environments

This two-day training course supports participants to develop and implement personalised and capable support.

  • Identify the characteristics to capable environment

    Understand the process of appraising, enabling and embedding a capable environment framework

    Developing a process for co-producing and evaluating environments to provide more capable support

Compassionate Leadership: The Practices of Leading

This interactive, action-oriented two-day training course is designed to enable leaders to create and support a vision for change. The training facilitates compassionate leadership with a focus on quality of life and quality of service.

  • Understanding of leadership approaches and how these influence the quality-of-service design and service evaluation

    Appreciate the dynamic approaches to appraise quality of support and quality of service

    Align the principles of compassionate and practice leadership to their organisation’s context

Positive Behaviour Support

This two-day training course introduces participants to the process of Assessment, Planning, Implementation and Evaluation with a Positive Behaviour Support Framework.

  • Identify person-centred approaches to support an understanding of behaviour

    Construct a contextual understanding of behaviours that challenge

    Develop evidence-based approaches to support plans

    Formulate goals and strategies that promote quality of life and consistent quality of support

Multi element support

This three-day training course is an advanced programme for understanding and applying evidence-based approach to the provision of personalised planning for people with a learning disability and their support team/organisation.

    Behaviour Supports

    Identify how models of support and quality of life inform multi-element frameworks

    The core components of assessment and planning in a multi-element behaviour supports framework

    Appraise the quality and ability of the system to support multi-element

    behaviour supports implementation and evaluation

Each training programme can be delivered as an individual course or organisations can select any number of courses as their own bespoke training programme.
