Linda is a Registered Nurse for people with Learning Disabilities and has worked in leadership roles in Health and Social care services and University lecturer. Previous roles have included commissioning & developing community-based services for with challenging behaviour both within the voluntary sector and health service. This has included developing and managing a specialist Positive Behaviour Support Team within the NHS. This team was awarded as winner of innovation in practice in 2012 for their role for their role in the reduction of the use of restrictive practices in health care settings. 

Linda has been employed as the National Lead for Positive Behaviour Support with a large voluntary organisation across the UK. This national post brought together a team of skilled practitioners to develop and lead on an organisational strategic approach to positive behaviour support. 

As a university lecturer in Scotland, Linda has led the delivery of undergraduate and postgraduate modules on Positive Behaviour Support, she remains a guest lecturer at several universities in the UK.

She has great ambitions to become an avid gardener and improve her running, but all these plans need to be discussed in moments of sunshine with her dog Max.
